Roofing Laborer

About the Role

As a Roofing Laborer, you will work alongside experienced roofers to assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs on various properties. Your role will involve supporting the roofing crew by preparing materials, maintaining tools, and ensuring that the worksite is safe and organized. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills while working in a fast-paced environment, handling a wide range of tasks from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Assist roofing teams with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs for residential and commercial buildings.

• Carry and transport materials and tools to and from the job site.

• Prepare work areas by clearing debris, organizing equipment, and setting up scaffolding as needed.

• Help with the removal of old roofing materials, ensuring the area is clean and safe.

• Ensure all materials are applied correctly and adhere to safety guidelines.

• Assist in mixing, applying, and removing roofing materials such as shingles, tar, and sealants.

• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment at all times.

• Work with a variety of tools and equipment, including ladders, power tools, and hand tools.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
